Data Deletion Instructions

5.1 Who This Page Is For

• Customers of restaurants that use techrestoPOS: If you have ordered from, or joined the loyalty program of, a restaurant that uses techrestoPOS, your data may include your orders, phone number, loyalty points, and the WhatsApp messages sent to you on the restaurant's behalf.
• Restaurant owners and staff: If you have a techrestoPOS account as a restaurant owner, administrator, or staff member, your data includes your account and contact details.

5.2 How to Request Deletion

Email us at contact@techrestopos.com:

• Send the email from the email address linked to your data. If your data is linked to a phone number, include that phone number in your email.
• Use the subject line "Data deletion request".
• Include your name, your phone number, and the name of the restaurant.

If you are a customer of a restaurant that uses techrestoPOS, you may also ask the restaurant directly to delete your data.

5.3 What Happens Next

• Verification: We verify that the request comes from the person the data belongs to.
• Deletion: We delete or anonymise your personal data.
• Confirmation: We confirm by email once your request has been completed.

Records we must keep by law: Tax/GST invoices and bills that the law requires us or the restaurant to keep are retained for the legally required period and then deleted.

5.4 WhatsApp Messages

• You can stop marketing messages at any time by replying STOP or using WhatsApp's "Stop promotions" button.
• A data deletion request also removes your WhatsApp opt-in record.

5.5 Timeline

We respond within the time required under applicable law.
